About CalcMyFloor
CalcMyFloor is a free set of floor calculators for DIY renovators and small contractors. Enter a room once and get screed, tiles or panels, adhesive, grout, primer, underlay and skirting as one shopping list in whole packages.
Why this site exists
Planning a floor usually means visiting four to six separate calculators — one for tiles, one for grout, one for adhesive, one for screed — and adding the numbers up by hand. Most of them ignore uneven subfloors and few round to the packages you can actually buy.
CalcMyFloor does it in one place. Every material is derived from the same room geometry, and every result is shown as an exact quantity, a quantity with waste, the whole packages to buy and what will be left over.
Where the numbers come from
Each result line has an “i” button that shows the formula with your numbers substituted, and each calculator page explains its formula with a worked example. Consumption rates, package sizes and minimum thicknesses are typical values from common product data sheets. They are editable, because your product may differ.
The calculation engine is covered by automated tests built from worked reference cases, so a change that alters a result is caught before it is published.
What it does not do
The results are estimates for planning. Always check consumption rates, minimum thicknesses and drying times on the data sheet of the product you buy. The site does not cover walls, paint or live supplier prices.
Free and private
There is no account and nothing to install. Every calculation runs in your browser, and your projects stay on your device unless you choose to share a link. See the privacy policy for details.
