Privacy policy
CalcMyFloor is built to need as little data as possible. There are no accounts, and your room dimensions never leave your browser unless you share a link. The site is free because it shows ads, described below.
Your calculations
Every calculation runs in your browser. The room dimensions and products you enter are not sent to a server.
Your current project and the “My projects” list are saved in your browser’s local storage so they are still there next time, together with your light or dark theme choice. You can delete them from “My projects” or by clearing your browser’s site data. They are not shared with anyone.
To make the calculator work offline, your browser also keeps a copy of the site’s own files (pages, scripts and styles). It contains none of your data and is replaced automatically when the site is updated.
Share links
When you create a share link, the project is compressed into the part of the address after the “#”. Browsers do not send that part to the web server, so the project is only visible to people you give the link to.
Analytics
The site uses Plausible, a cookie-less analytics service, to count page views and a few anonymous events (a calculation completed, an export or share used, an outbound shop link clicked, the embed code copied, the app added to a home screen). It does not use cookies, does not store personal data and does not track you across other websites. No room data is included in these events.
The site also uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, provided by its host. They count page views and measure how fast pages load, without cookies and without identifying you.
Advertising and cookies
The site shows ads from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used, through Google’s consent message. You can change your choice at any time with “Privacy and cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
You can turn off personalised advertising in Google’s My Ad Center (adssettings.google.com), and opt out of some third-party vendors at aboutads.info. How Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
No room data or project content is shared with advertisers.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any website, the hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse. This data is not used to identify you.
